Frequently Asked Questions

Where is our dance space?

We use the aerobics room at the Kiama Leisure Centre.

Is there a uniform?

Uniforms are not mandatory but we do have some Leaps and Beats crops and tops that some of the families choose to purchase.

Can parents and siblings wait and watch in the dance space?

Our policy is to have the kids dropped off to class. Like many other creative schools, parents and siblings will not be able to remain in the room as this can be distracting for our dancers.

Parents of our new dancers can stay within the room until you feel your child is confident with the setting.

Upon arrival please wait in the corridor until it is advised for everyone to enter for the start of the class.

You will have the opportunity to see your child dance at the mid year and end of year performance.

Is it possible to join Leaps and Beats mid term?

Yes, our classes are flexible enough to join at any time.

In this case, use our contact form rather than using our website to book and pay for a full term. We will get in touch with you shortly after.

My daughter has been going to Leaps and Beats dance classes for the past 4 years (since she was 3 years old)
My daughter absolutely. adores Miss Jenna and loves coming to her dance class every week. Every class is fun, energetic and inclusive of every student who joins the Leaps and Beats community.

Jenna has an incredible gift of building kids confidence in themselves and it truly shows on and off the dance floor.

Leaps & Beats is a joy-filled, nurturing environment where children grow stronger, more coordinated, and deeply confident in their bodies. Through skilled, supportive teaching, kids develop body awareness, selfbelief, and pride in what their bodies can do, all while genuinely loving and celebrating fun movement.

For the last 6 years Jenna has allowed our daughter’s love of dance to grow while being in a supported environment. Our daughter is greeted by name every week and leaves every class gaining a little more self confidence. Jenna creates a supportive, fun and joyful experience for every child allowing them to be themselves without pressure.

I would recommend this dance class to any child looking to get their boogie on, have some fun, and make new friends.

Samantha

Our son has always danced to the beat of his own drum, and finding a place where that’s not just accepted but celebrated has meant the world to us. Leaps & Beats has such an inclusive, uplifting vibe where every child’s individuality is seen as a strength, and it really shows in the way they support and celebrate each other. Jenna sets the tone with her kindness and genuine care, always modelling what it means to be an upstander. It’s such a special community, and we’re so grateful our son has found his people here. He’s been dancing with Leaps & Beats for four years now, and it continues to bring out the best in him.
